BOOSIE BADAZZ BLASTS GUNNA FOR ‘RATTIN' WITH RESPECT’

Boosie Badazz has criticised Gunna for his comments made in court after the rapper’s guilty plea in the ongoing YSL RICO case.

Last week, footage from Boosie’s most recent appearance on VLAD TV became public. In it, he goes off on Gunna for the deference he allegedly gave the prosecution while giving testimony to finish his plea deal.

The video, released a day after Gunna walked free from Fulton County Prison after accepting a plea bargain, shows the rapper reacting as Deputy District Attorney Adrienne Love reads over the terms of the arrangement.

They need to redo his crap, ‘Yes, ma’am,'” he sneered. Boosie remarked on Gunna’s demeanour in court, “I been waiting for a song. Wow, these n-ggas are responding so maturely! They are just rattling off the charts in terms of esteem! ‘Yes, ma’am’ isn’t even used that way with our seniors. People aren’t responding to authority figures with “Yes, ma’am” as often as normal. Yet you have to say “Yes, ma’am” to a prosecutor. Because of it, things became much worse. What the hell? You spread mayonnaise on that sandwich.

After hearing the generally unfavourable views many people in Hip Hop have voiced after he accepted the plea agreement, Boosie Badazz asks whether he believes there’s any possibility Gunna can restore his status in the rap business.

I don’t believe he can return to where he was,” the rapper from Baton Rouge said. Because there is no way for a Thugger fan to be a Gunna fan. You’re in a fucked-up other reality, and you’re a fuck n-gga or fuck bitch if you dig Gunna and like Thugger.

At Gunna’s December 14 hearing, he pled guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges, and Boosie was one of the first rappers to label him a rat. After being arrested in May 2022 as part of the broad YSL indictment against Young Thug and his label, he was found guilty and sentenced to five years in jail.

The court postponed the remaining four years of Gunna’s sentence and replaced them with probation and 500 hours of community service.

Gunna delivered a statement upon his release in which he flatly denied that any part of his arrangement required him to testify against his 26 co-defendants.

Although I have committed to telling the truth at all times, I want it to be crystal clear that I have not made any statements, been interviewed, cooperated, agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case, and have no intention of being involved in the trial process in any way, Gunna told WSB-TV.

“I was interested in the entertainment aspect of YSL, namely rap artists that ‘glorified’ Black urban life via their lyrics and performances.

However, Boosie Badazz was not convinced by Gunna’s explanation and instead claimed that the “pushin’ p” rapper was a rat.

“Rat, THIS WOULD HAVE PUT TEARS N MY EYES, MY BROTHER, MY ARTIST, LIKE WHAT AM FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE,” Boosie said in a post beside the same trial clip. “THAT I’M NOT RUNNING A GANG/CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE, AND IF YOU DO THIS TO BIG DOG, YOU KNOW IT’S A GANG… IT’S NOT YOUR WEAPONS OR DRUGS. “WELL, WHO ELSE COULD THEY BE IN THE CAR FOR LAUGHTER?”

On his most recent appearance on VLAD TV, Boosie continued to criticise Gunna for accepting a plea bargain in the YSL RICO case, this time stating that Gunna had snitched in order to get MSCHF’s viral large red boots.
